Procedure To Register With The National Address System

2018-Mar-31

Banks have been asking customers to register with National Address System in the implementation of government Resolution No. (252) dated 24/07/1434 AH concerning the approval of the implementation of the (residence and work address) articles of the Civil Status Law, the Commercial Register Law, and the Residency Law.
Recently, I went to an insurance company office to renew my vehicle insurance and they also asked me to register with the National Address System.
The National Address System is a unified address data storage through the Geographic Information System (GIS). It is important for the government to know the addresses of each and every citizen and residents living in the country.
It will also improve law and order situation in Saudi Arabia as security agencies would be able to track any criminal very quickly. Today we shall share the procedure to register with National Address System.
First of all, open the website of National Address System https://address.gov.sa/en/. Here you need to click on the button “Register your Address Today”.
A new screen will open up with 3 options to register. We need to select the first option i.e. Registration of Individuals (for citizens and residents). On the next page, you will have to select New Registration.
In the next page, you will be required to accept a long set of terms and conditions. You need to tick the box given at the end of the page that you have agreed to the terms and conditions and click on “Register Individuals.

In the next page, you will have to select the region, city, and district where you are living in. In the fourth box, you will have to enter the building number you are living in. The building number is written on the front side of the building you are living in.
After that, you need to click on the button “Verify Address”. The system will take the information and check if the information you have provided is correct. If the information you have entered is correct, the button will turn from Yellow to Green.
After that, you will have to enter your personal details. You need to enter your Iqama Number, Iqama Expiry Date, mobile number, gender, email address, type of residency, residence ownership, and your flat number. After entering all these details, just click on the next button.
After that, Saudi Post will send you an activation code to your mobile number. You need to enter that code to verify that the information you have entered is correct.
On the next page, the system will reproduce the information you have entered and fetch some information from its database. You need to review this information and click on the “Register” button if the information provided is correct.
A new screen will appear with a message that “Thank you, Your National Address registered successfully, Your Registration will be activated within 24 hours”.
We have also provided a video with the guidelines to register your address with National Address System. The video has been prepared by the Saudi Post and it is in Arabic language.
